TL;DR

I created a user-friendly Content Management System (CMS) for managing and displaying team member data. With the new system, developers could quickly sort and edit information, which reduced errors and saved time during updates.

Situation

The organization's website was hard to manage and update. There wasn't a system to handle content changes, which meant that developers had to manually update team members' information and display roles on the website. This process was time-consuming and prone to errors, making it challenging to keep the website up-to-date and accurate.

Task

  1. Design and implement a comprehensive CMS tailored to the organization's needs to facilitate efficient content management and updates.
  2. Ensure the new CMS allows for dynamic categorization and displays options for team member data (e.g., pictures, names, roles, and information) to improve content manageability.

Actions

  1. I comprehensively assessed the existing website structure, including its content, layout, and functionality. This analysis helped me identify the specific needs for a CMS that would best support involveMINT.io's operations.
  2. I implemented a Collection list within the CMS to ensure that team member information could be organized dynamically and displayed accurately on the About page. This feature allowed for easy management of team member data with fields for Name, Role, Picture, and Information, significantly enhancing content manageability.
  3. I configured the CMS to be self-sustainable, allowing team members to update and add content easily. This made the website adaptable to changes without requiring extensive technical knowledge.

Result

The CMS significantly improved the website's management and content display, particularly regarding team member information. The new system simplified updates, making the display more dynamic and tailored to user roles. This improvement was crucial for internal efficiency and users visiting the website, who could now find updated and well-organized information about the team.
